Since 2012, Shopping Design—a leading media outlet focusing on design and lifestyle in Taiwan—has selected 100 outstanding design works, figures, and events annually. Every December, they publish the "TAIWAN DESIGN BEST 100" issue and host the SDA (Shopping Design Award) ceremony, honoring categories ranging from exhibitions and social care to craftsmanship and architectural spaces.

Entering its 9th year in 2020, the theme was "The Design We Need." It explored how design energy creates possibilities for life and value in changing times. Realizing that design participates in every aspect of life allows us to view the world and ourselves through a different lens.
