For those who are used to drinking the roasted coffee beans from Wandering Walls, one day the Wandering Walls staffs happily mentioned to Gavin about a new and impressive coffee shop that opened in Hengchun Township! This is a big deal! After all, compared to decent coffee shops, we prefer places where the owners focus on quality and operate with care. Coffee can be found everywhere, but this is the first time we’ve heard of a place in Hengchun that emphasizes coffee quality as we do!
Parking Information for B&S F Family Chen Coffee
B&S Chen Style Coffee is located directly across from the Hengchun Post Office, making it central in Hengchun. The nearby area is mostly residential and does not have a dedicated parking lot, so you may need to find street parking by circling around the nearby alleys. It's generally not too difficult to find parking, especially on non-holiday weekends. There's also a paid parking lot operated by the Hengchun Township Farmers' Association, which is about a 3-minute walk to the coffee shop.
Ambiance of B&S F Family Chen Coffee
The coffee shop is run by Boss Chen and his sister, which is why it's called Brother & Sister Chen Coffee. The brother takes charge of the coffee while the sister handles desserts. The shop is a standalone building, with a bar seating area on the first floor that accommodates four guests and a high table for two. Sitting downstairs allows customers to watch the boss brew coffee. The second floor has three tables that can seat eight guests. Since the shop just opened in October 2024, the third floor is still in planning for future private room areas. The café has a simple yet retro decoration. The large wooden bar and the wooden cabinet behind it, equipped with coffee brewing tools, create a warm and quality atmosphere, providing a sense of professionalism and local charm.

Before opening the coffee shop, Boss Chen had been selling hand-brewed coffee for a while opposite the tourist spot, A-Jia's Home. Therefore, he already has a dedicated clientele for his hand-brewed coffee. We highly recommend trying the specialty coffee brewed by the boss himself. You can ask for recommendations based on your preference for coffee beans. In addition to hot coffee, their Cold Brew is also excellent, making it worth trying for cold coffee lovers.
For desserts, you can find standard offerings like brownie ice cream, Basque cheesecake, and honeycomb cake, along with various creations that the boss's wife occasionally introduces. The basic desserts taste great, and the Pavlova is currently our favorite; it's made with meringue topped with fresh fruits, whipped cream, and lemon, making it both beautiful and delicious.

Although they don't have a beautiful sea view, they are committed to serving high-quality coffee. In particular, chatting with Boss Chen reveals that, besides roasting the beans himself, he carefully selects and removes any off-flavors from the beans in his spare time! During our visit, we connected as specialty coffee enthusiasts with experiences in sourcing green beans, roasting, and brewing, exchanging many insights on hand-brewed coffee. It’s a must-visit for anyone in Hengchun who values good taste!
